I tried to get a close up of some of the details I added to the pattern. The flower stitch on my machine echos the fabric design nicely and I wanted a pocket to make my cell phone easy to get at inside the bag. Posted by Picasa

This is the StartSewSimple bag kit from the Expo. (All the proceeds go to benefit women's health innitiaves) They had a bunch of fabric choices. I love how it turned out. Posted by Picasa

It followed me home - It needs love.... Posted by Picasa

I DID NOT go to the expo to buy a machine. (My husband is wonderful! ) This is the Brother Innov'is 1500D. It is my dream machine and I'm loving it.

How many bags will this trunk hold? Posted by Picasa

Four of us from our local ASG chapter went to the Original Sewing Expo in Atlatna last weekend. We had a great time! Took enough classes to cause brain mush and shopped till we dropped.

Demo Done!

/\/\/\/\/\I'm jumping for joy. It has been a frustrating evening but my trial is done. These are from Safety Pockets #9800. My next version I will cut the waist about 1.5 inches lower and tighten the elastic. Otherwise I'm pleased. As a muslin these are wearable. In fact maybe even fixable just not this week! Posted by Picasa

Too many pieces!

Today I have finished tracing my pattern and I have two piles - one for the pants and one for the shirt. I am going to demo the pants in the light blue you see on the right. Barely visible underneath is the heringbone linen that I want to do the final outfit in. I ironed all five yards of it today. The tracing took forever but I had a slow day at work so I was able to take it and do some of it there. This pattern doesn't look to hard but it is LOTS of pieces to cut. more tomorrow :-) Posted by Picasa
